The Women's Law Student Association provides a variety of opportunities and activities to become involved not only in the College of Law life, but also to become involved in the Toledo legal community. It offers a forum for law students to openly discuss current issues affecting women in law and society today. As a member of WLSA, law students will also gain membership to the Toledo Women's Bar Association and the Ohio Women's Bar Association. These organizations work closely with WLSA to provide opportunites to connect with other attorneys and be mentored. Through speakers, volunteer opportunities, and social events, law students experience a unique learning atmosphere not achieved in the classroom.
To join WLSA, students must be a law student, female or male. Dues are $25. Students may join at meetings or by dropping by the WLSA office, RM 1022 to fill out an application.
If students are looking for ways to get involved beyond the activities of WLSA, various committees meet to plan the events. Contact one of the officers to become a part of one.
